I have to second that!
Shane sent me one of his AA Lutz tops and I
am very impressed with it, nice tight grain, very stiff and light.
I have it joined and ready for a rosette, going to sit on it for a few more months and then give it a test run!

I have dealt with Shane for about 4 years now and his wood has always been primo and great service to boot[even though it is north of the border]

Shane is the best. As well as giving me top notch info on everything from wood to bandsaws, he's just a plain nice guy. I might get to meet him in November, and I'm looking forward to it.

Shane I hope you charge our U.S. cousins a premium for your tonewood!

Hey Anthony,

There are no borders in the Luthiery World, besides then we would have to pay a premium on all of the fine advice we receive here. Besides, do we really want access restricted to Bob's fine Zootwood or Bruce Dickey's figured sapele, or all of the other fine products that our southern sponsors make available to us?

Thanks you guys for all of your kind words. A better group of people to hang with would be very difficult to find.

Shane

I just got three sets from him and some wood for a kerfing experiment, I'll be ordering again from him because he was fast, reliable and the wood is great quality. In fact one of the tops is so good I'm not sure what I want to use it on, it has the single best tap tone I have ever heard on a piece of spruce...

Hey Anthony, I absolutley know!!!

Paul, I am glad you like that wood. Was that the white one or the coloured one? I went tree hunting again today and will be applying for 7 more tomorrow. A couple of them look very good, the others only real good.

Shane
